WHEELS & WAVES 2014
SOUTHSIDERS MC
They are six all together. Most of the time, we see them on the roads in the South-West of France or in their garage in Toulouse, where they spend time customizing their own bikes. Their names are Vincent Prat, Jerôme Allé, Frédéric Antoine, Benoit Guerry, Thierry de Miras and Julien Azé. Together, they form the crew SOUTHSIDERS.
As they share a common passion for classic and custom motorcycles, the Southsiders bring their association out to light in 2008, when they decide to launch their blog.
This new platform gives them the opportunity to share ecletic content – pictures and articles about their preparations and the custom scene, but not only. The blog also documents their travels and the people they meet. They talk about all the things that inspire them: fashion, design and surfing.
Step by step, they introduce information about their annual gathering in Biarritz : a local and informal event at the time, which we know better today as Wheels and Waves.
From the early days, the number of followers grows quickly, and they see an array of members coming from all parts of the world asking for more. The public is in demand, they want to discover everything about this custom scene that is new and that is appealing : speed, style and freedom.

The Southsiders foresee a trend coming, but they stay true to their beliefs. Recognition is there, and the blog Southsiders becomes a true source of inspiration for many enthusiasts alike.
As they love the ocean, the crew also often gathers on the sunny Basque coast where they go surfing.
This leads them to choose Biarritz as a place, for a first gathering outside of their town of Toulouse. In June 2009, they organise a first official event in Biarritz, which sees about 20 participants coming along for two beautiful rides across the Basque country.

The event grows with the years, and becomes an international reference.
Without knowing it, WHEELS and WAVES was born.
The custom motorcycle sphere has now deeply nestled its values amongst today’s most affluent trends, and the Southsiders have certainly contributed to it.
The initial gathering has become a 4-day festival mixing art, music, surfing, and of course personalised dream machines.

Excitation is at its peak as the crew Southsiders announces the return of the event WHEELS and WAVES in Biarritz, from Thursday 12th of June 2014 to Sunday the 15th ! And what a big news this year : the third chapter of this beautiful adventure is now extended to 4 days instead of 3. Exactly what was needed to fully enjoy a program that keeps up with its level of quality and diversity.
With its fine blend of mechanics, vintage, surfing, art and music, WHEELS and WAVES has become one of the most anticipated events in the custom motocycling scene in only just a few years. A place where today’s top builders and manufacturers, along with other major actors of this new wave scene come from all over the world, to meet and share their common passion. But moreover, a festival where the public gets to discover the inside-outs of this new “RIDE” culture that we see growing amongst many markets.
